The Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) for Substance Use Disorders is a globally standardized training program developed to professionalize and strengthen the workforce responding to the growing challenge of substance use and addiction.
Offered by SAPTA College, this curriculum equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to provide effective, ethical, and evidence-based treatment services for individuals affected by substance use disorders (SUDs).

π§ What is the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC)?
The UTC was developed by the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme in collaboration with international experts in addiction treatment and organizations such as the U.S. Department of Stateβs Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and NAADAC β The Association for Addiction Professionals.
SAPTA College is proud to deliver this curriculum in Kenya and the region, advancing the professional capacity of treatment providers across Africa.
